class admin matters

Hi everyone! First post of our class blog. Haha. :)

Anyway, here are some updates for the different committees as well as the homework and things to bring for the days ahead.

UPDATES

1. MEDIA RESOURCE
- blog done
- yahoo group done
- left blogskin: anybody can contribute to the blogskin, not restricted to the media resource rep.

2. INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT
- duty roster done
- duty roster and system of checks and decoration to be announced on Friday

3. WELFARE (RECREATION)
- birthday system (mode and frequency) to be announced on Friday

4. TREASURY
- rationale has been explained, will be elaborated on more on Friday
- collection of money (tentatively $1) on Friday [check with welfare pls!]
- buy pins and chalk and coloured tape (for whiteboard to divide announcements, dates etc.) and clear folders to keep work for absentees on Friday after collection of money

5. LOCKERS
- GO will add 1 more locker by end of this wk
- no stuck lockers now
- lockers system has been announced
- can start using lockers

6. CAR LABEL FORM
- people who havn't filled up please do so on friday

FUTURE UPDATES
1. EXCO suggestion form/box
- TBC

2. Class shirt
- Is it okay for welfare (inter class) to be in charge of the design? Since we are using the shirt for interclass competitions like netball carn.
- Start on discussion of design next Monday (11/1)

3. Buddy system
- voting (either deskmates or best friend) on next Monday (11/1)

HOMEWORK
1. PHYSICS
- will be starting on Chapter 1
- bring:
logbook
30cm ruler
calculator
- in addition, prepare physics file
- lesson will be held in Lab 4 on Thurs

2. LITERATURE
- think through reflection questions
- think abt poem "A Piece of Paper"
- Thursday's lesson will be Lit, not Lang

3. EL
- commonwealth essay due on friday (*dum dum dum dum*)
- 1.5 or 2 line spacing for comments if typed

NOTE: get ready BIG arched file black in colour for EL and LIT don't need to bring to school
get ready EL and LIT journal

4. HISTORY
- purple file for history
- read chapter 1 of history textbook

Anyway, Im really sorry if i miss out anything. I'm gonna try to update the class blog on homework everyday. Hopefully it'll continue throughout the year, if it doesn't REMIND US SHAKE US TEAR US APART and we'll do it.

Yup. And seriously, if you have ANY suggestions comments criticisms anger complaints about the class or exco pls voice out your opinion, we'll view it objectively and try to make changes.

Remember, we only have 1 year left together, just like Mrs Hoo said, so let's make the best out of this year!

And remember, we don't live forever, we only have this short time in the world, let's not waste any moment of it! Haha that's irrelevant but yeah...
